Barrow Town Council has announced that applications are now open for the Mayor’s Cadet position for the 2026/2027 term. The deadline for submissions is May 6th. This role allows a young person to represent various youth organisations at civic events.
Role of the Mayor’s Cadet
The selected candidate will assist the Mayor during several civic events throughout the year. Responsibilities may include conducting readings and carrying wreaths during ceremonies.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be under 18 years old. They can come from various youth organisations, including Army Cadets, Sea Cadets, Marine Cadets, Air Cadets, Police Cadets, Scouts, or Guides.
