Officers from Westmorland and Furness’s Community and Serious Organised Crime team carried out the warrant.

During the search, police found and seized around £11,000 worth of cocaine.

Man Arrested on Suspicion of Class A Drug Supply

A man in his 40s was arrested following the discovery.

He was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

This offence relates to cases where police suspect someone has drugs and intends to supply them to others, rather than only possessing them for personal use.

Released Under Investigation

The man has been released under investigation.

This means he has not been charged at this stage, but police enquiries are still ongoing.

Officers may continue gathering evidence, reviewing seized items, speaking to witnesses or carrying out further checks before deciding what action should be taken next.

Part of Operation Alliance

Police said the warrant and seizure form part of Operation Alliance.

Operation Alliance is Cumbria Constabulary’s wider response to serious and organised crime. It focuses on protecting communities from criminal activity, including drug supply, exploitation and organised offending.

The Kendal raid is one of a number of actions carried out under the operation across the county.

Tackling Drug Supply in Local Communities

Class A drug supply can have a wider impact on communities.

Police often link drug supply investigations to issues such as organised crime, violence, debt, exploitation and antisocial behaviour.

Raids like this are used to disrupt suspected drug networks, remove harmful substances from circulation and gather evidence against those believed to be involved.

Enquiries Are Continuing

No charge has been announced at this stage.

Police confirmed the man remains under investigation while enquiries continue.

Further updates may follow if charges are brought or if officers release more information about the investigation.
