Efforts Underway to Tackle Graffiti in Barrow Town Centre
Work is underway to remove graffiti from parts of Barrow town centre. As part of a wider effort to keep the area clean and welcoming for residents, visitors and businesses.
The initiative is being led by Barrow BID. Which says tackling vandalism and improving the appearance of the town centre remains a priority.
Cleaning and Graffiti Removal
Teams working for Barrow BID have been carrying out cleaning work across the town centre. Including removing graffiti from walls, street furniture and public spaces.
The work is being carried out by the organisation’s Street Ranger team, who regularly patrol the town centre and deal with issues such as litter, vandalism and general upkeep.
The aim is to keep shopping areas looking tidy and welcoming for people visiting the town.
Supporting Local Businesses
Barrow BID represents town centre businesses and works to promote and improve the area through various projects and initiatives.
The organisation, which was established following a vote by local businesses, is funded by a levy paid by companies within the town centre area.
As well as tackling issues such as graffiti, the BID also supports events, marketing campaigns and other improvements designed to attract more people into the town centre.
Keeping the Town Centre Welcoming
Removing graffiti is seen as an important part of maintaining a positive environment for shoppers, visitors and local businesses.
By addressing vandalism quickly and keeping streets clean, organisers hope the town centre will remain a welcoming place. For residents and visitors alike.
Officials say the work will continue as part of ongoing efforts to improve the appearance of Barrow’s main shopping areas.
