The Barrow Does Comics festival will take place on Saturday, April 18th. With a pre-event on the evening of April 17th. This vibrant celebration of comics will feature renowned artists and a variety of engaging activities.

The main festival begins at 10am on Saturday, offering free entry to all attendees. The festival will be hosted at the Barrow Campus of the University of Cumbria, with an afterparty at The Meeting Place featuring live music.

Comic legends Charlie Adlard, Sean Phillips, and Michael Lark will be key figures at the event. They will host workshops and signing sessions, sharing their expertise with fans.

- Life (or Death) Drawing: Led by Charlie Adlard, this workshop will teach attendees how to draw and ‘zombify’ a face.
- Concertina Comic Workshop: Hester Harrington will guide participants on creating comic-style sequences.
- Signing Sessions: Sean Phillips and Michael Lark will hold signing events at Waterstones, allowing fans to meet the artists.
- Beyond Heartstopper Discussion: A panel featuring various creators discussing diverse comic themes.
