On Sunday, May 3rd, Ford Park in Ulverston will host a series of free events from 11am to 4pm. The activities include Art in the Park, a Classic and Exotic Car Show, and Bark in the Park, a charity dog show.
These events aim to celebrate the local community while raising funds for various charities.
Art in the Park
Art in the Park will feature a marquee filled with original artwork from artists across Cumbria and beyond. Visitors can browse and purchase a variety of items, including paintings, prints, ceramics, and handmade jewellery. This event provides a platform for local artists to showcase their talents.
Classic and Exotic Car Show
The Classic and Exotic Car Show will display vintage cars, rare models, and motorbikes from different eras. Attendees are encouraged to engage with vehicle owners and learn about the history of these remarkable machines. A £2 entry fee per vehicle will help support the maintenance of Ford Park.
Bark in the Park
Bark in the Park is a charity dog show held in partnership with St Mary’s Hospice. This event aims to raise funds for both the hospice and Ford Park. Sponsored by Church Walk Vets, the show features fun categories such as Prettiest Pooch, Best Trick, and Dog Most Like Its Owner. Each class has a £5 entry fee, with local businesses sponsoring the categories.
Community Engagement
