Police Appeal for Information After Barrow Shop Window Smashed
Police have released a CCTV image as part of an investigation into criminal damage at a shop in Barrow town centre.
A window at the Holland & Barrett store on Dalton Road was shattered during the early hours of Sunday, June 21.
Cumbria Police said the incident happened at approximately 1.30am, when most businesses in the area would have been closed. Officers received a report that one of the health store’s windows had been smashed.
Police want to identify person in CCTV
As part of their enquiries, officers have published an image of a person they would like to identify.
Police said they want to speak with the person shown in the footage in connection with the investigation. The release of an image does not necessarily mean the person pictured has committed an offence, but officers believe they may be able to help establish what happened.
The incident is currently being investigated as criminal damage.
Damage reported at Dalton Road store
Holland & Barrett is located on Dalton Road in the centre of Barrow, close to a number of other shops and businesses.
The damaged window was reported to police following the incident, and enquiries have continued in the weeks since. The CCTV appeal was issued as officers sought further help from members of the public.
Police have not confirmed whether anything was taken from the store, and the available appeal only refers to damage caused to the window.
