Details of the Inquest
The inquest into Henderson’s death was opened by Assistant Coroner for Cumbria, Dr Nicholas Shaw, on April 28 at Allerdale House in Workington. He provided details about the circumstances surrounding the discovery of Henderson’s body.
Discovery of the Body
Henderson was found by his father, who had grown concerned after not receiving a response to his calls. He was discovered in the bath, which was filled with water. The house was secure, and police reported no signs of foul play.
Cause of Death
The provisional cause of death has been identified as drowning with acute alcohol toxicity. Dr Shaw mentioned that further evidence from family members and police investigations would be considered.
