Kendal Calling 2026 lineup revealed as major acts join
Kendal Calling 2026 is shaping up to be one of the festival’s biggest years yet, with more major acts now confirmed.
The event will return to Lowther Deer Park, (more location and travel info), from Thursday, July 30 to Sunday, August 2.
Around 40,000 people are expected to attend, transforming the site into one of Cumbria’s largest temporary towns.
Primal Scream are among the latest names added to the lineup. Their return marks a notable moment for the festival.
Headliners announced so far
Organisers have confirmed a strong mix of indie, rock, and alternative acts at the top of the bill:
- Two Door Cinema Club
- Biffy Clyro
- Wolf Alice
- The Kooks
- Primal Scream
Primal Scream last headlined Kendal Calling in 2013. They were also due to return in 2020 before the festival was cancelled.

New additions and emerging acts
Alongside the headliners, several new artists have been confirmed.
These include Red Rum Club, Arkayla, UK Foo Fighters, Paramore-ish, Matt Felix, and The Covasettes.
The mix of tribute acts and newer names reflects Kendal Calling’s broad appeal.

It started as a two-day event with around 900 attendees.
It is now a four-day festival attracting tens of thousands each year.
The experience goes far beyond music.
Visitors can expect themed areas, art installations, and immersive spaces across the site.
There is also a dedicated children’s area known as Wonderland.

JaackMaate will appear with a special woodland silent disco event.
His Happy Hour podcast will also feature across the weekend.
The Chai Wallahs stage returns for its 14th year.
This area will host a Bristol-based lineup including Hyphen, Kongo Dia Ntotila, Soothsayers, and Aziza Jaye.
Special performances to watch
Some headline sets will offer unique experiences for fans.
Two Door Cinema Club will perform their debut album Tourist History in full.
The Kooks will also play Inside In/Inside Out live.
These album performances are expected to be standout moments across the weekend.
Ticket resale and demand
A limited ticket resale will open at 10am on Monday.
Registration closes on Sunday, March 29.
Fans are being encouraged to register early due to high demand.
The resale will include weekend tickets, add-ons, and upgraded camping options.
More to come
Organisers have confirmed that more announcements are still to come.
This will include further music acts, comedy, talks, and live art.
Each year, Kendal Calling continues to evolve while keeping its identity.
