211 Babies Born Across North Cumbria During June

A total of 211 babies were born across north Cumbria during June, according to new figures released by North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Carlisle recorded the largest number of births. In total, 117 babies were born at the Cumberland Infirmary, compared with 94 at West Cumberland Hospital.

Three Sets of Twins Born

Among the 211 new arrivals were three sets of twins.

The most common dates of birth were June 11 and June 29. More babies arrived on these two dates than on any other day during the month.
