The storm moved across the county overnight, with gusts reaching 50–70mph, and higher in exposed areas. The strong winds caused disruption to power supplies. With outages reported in several locations.

Power outages have been reported in a number of areas across Cumbria. With engineers working to restore supply as quickly as possible.
Affected locations include parts of Ulverston, Crosthwaite and Lyth, Setmurthy, Crosby Ravensworth, Colton, Holme Abbey and wider areas of South Lakeland. Dozens of properties in each area have experienced disruption, with some of the highest numbers reported in Holme Abbey and across South Lakes.

The impact of Storm Dave has led to damage across parts of the county. Including fallen trees and debris affecting power lines. The combination of high winds and heavy rain increased the risk of disruption to essential services.
