Street Food Festival Coming to Penrith’s Great Dockray Car Park

A free street food festival will take place in the centre of Penrith on Saturday, July 25. Bringing food traders, drinks and live music to Great Dockray Car Park.

The event will run from 11am until 5pm and is being organised as part of Penrith’s programme of summer events.

Visitors will be able to choose from a range of street food. While spending the day in the town centre. Entry will be free, with people invited to attend throughout the afternoon.

Food, Music and a Town-Centre Setting

Organisers say the event will feature a selection of street food businesses. Alongside music and a relaxed festival atmosphere.

Great Dockray Car Park will be used as the main event site. Placing the festival close to Penrith’s shops, cafés and other town-centre businesses.

The event has been designed to give residents and visitors another reason to spend time in Penrith while also supporting independent food traders and nearby businesses.

First of Two Street Food Saturdays

The July event is the first of two Street Food Saturdays planned for Penrith during summer 2026.

A second event is due to take place at Great Dockray on Saturday, August 22.
