Exmouth Street in Barrow will be closed from its junction with Bath Street for approximately three days, starting on May 13. This closure is necessary for essential highway works to be conducted.

The closure will extend in a north-easterly direction along the entire length of Exmouth Street. It is part of an order issued by Westmorland and Furness Council, which will remain in effect for a maximum of 18 months. However, the council anticipates that the actual closure will last only for the specified three days.
Alternative Routes
To minimise disruption, an alternative route has been established. Vehicles will be directed to use Hartington Street and Blake Street before returning to Bath Street. This route aims to ensure that traffic can flow smoothly despite the closure.
