3 Day Road Closure Planned for Ulverston Street
A road in Ulverston is set to close for three days later this month while highway works take place.
The closure will affect a stretch of Fountain Street from Tarn Side for around 170 metres northwest.
Westmorland and Furness Council has issued a notice for the temporary closure, which is due to begin on June 25.
The closure is expected to affect vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists.
Closure Due to Highway Works
The temporary closure is being put in place so highway works can be carried out safely.
Traffic signs will be used to mark the closure and alert road users to the disruption.
Residents, drivers, cyclists and pedestrians are being advised to plan ahead, especially if they regularly use Fountain Street or nearby routes.
The closure is expected to last for three days.
Diversion Route
During the closure, traffic will be diverted via Town Bank Road, the B5281, A5092, A590, Canal Street and Hart Street.
Drivers should allow extra time for journeys while the diversion is in place.
The route may also mean increased traffic on surrounding roads during the work.
