Two men jailed for dealing cocaine and cannabis at Kendal Calling

Two men have been jailed after cocaine and cannabis were found hidden inside modified drinks cans following last year’s Kendal Calling festival.

Emmanuel Bello and Kadeem Delisle, both aged 30 and from Birmingham, were sentenced at Carlisle Crown Court on Tuesday, June 30.

Bello, of City View, received five years and two months in prison. Delisle, of Park Lane, was jailed for six years and three months.

A third defendant, 25-year-old Claire-gee Smith, of Rosneath Close in Wolverhampton, was handed a three-year suspended sentence.

All three were sentenced for conspiracy to supply cocaine and conspiracy to supply cannabis.

Trio spotted on festival CCTV

The court heard that security staff became suspicious of the group at Kendal Calling on August 3, 2025.

They appeared to be dealing drugs and their actions were captured on the festival’s CCTV system.

Security staff then saw all three enter a vehicle before leaving the site. The car was followed and police later stopped it on the A6 at Clifton.

Officers searched the occupants and the vehicle under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Drugs hidden inside drinks cans

Police found a rucksack containing large amounts of cocaine and cannabis.

The drugs had been concealed inside modified cans designed to look like ordinary drinks cans. Officers also found more cocaine and cash elsewhere in the vehicle.

Cumbria Police said the three defendants had travelled to the festival with the clear intention of selling drugs.

A spokesperson for the force’s Serious and Organised Crime Unit said anyone bringing illegal substances into Kendal Calling should expect to face the full force of the law.

The spokesperson added that the prison sentences should act as a warning to anyone considering dealing drugs at this year’s festival or future events.
