Dave Day Celebrations to Bring Music, Sport and Motorbikes to Barrow

Barrow is preparing for another major Dave Day celebration as events are planned to honour the late Hairy Biker Dave Myers.

Dave Day: The Last Ride Home is due to take place on Saturday, June 20th, 2026. The event will see bikers travel from Ace Café London to Barrow. With planned stops along the route before arriving in Dave’s hometown later in the day. You can see the full route details and timing here.

The tribute has become one of Barrow’s biggest community events. It brings together bikers, music fans, sports supporters and local families. The day is held in memory of Dave Myers, who was loved across the UK as one half of The Hairy Bikers.

Barrow Raiders Announce Dave Day Party Line-Up

Barrow Raiders have announced a packed music line-up for their Dave Day celebration party at the Speed Competitions Stadium.

The event will take place around the Raiders’ home fixture against Dewsbury Rams, which kicks off at 6pm on Saturday, June 20.

The Terrace Stage line-up includes The Coughing Dodgers before the match, followed by Waiting for Midnight, Bitchcr@ft, QOC’s and Heavy Energy. There will also be support from Boom Dang.

The Marquee Stage will feature Ash Nelson before the match, along with Alex McCormack and The Hairy Buskers.

The event is being sponsored by Furness Building Society and will form part of a wider day of events across Barrow.

Match Tickets and Party Entry

Tickets are already on sale for the Barrow Raiders game against Dewsbury Rams.

Terrace tickets cost £23 and grandstand tickets cost £25. Both include a £5 donation to the Dave Day charity and free entry to the after-match party. People who only want to attend the party can buy a post-match party ticket for £5.

Children can attend free and do not need a ticket. Gates open at 4pm, with live music planned before the match. Free walk-ins for the party are expected to be allowed from 7.45pm, as long as the stadium has not reached capacity.

Special guests Lili, Si, Woody and Adelle are also expected to attend.

Final Ride to Barrow

The main Dave Day ride will begin at Ace Café London, with riders expected to depart at 7am.

The route is set to follow the M40 and M6, with planned stops at Oxford Welcome Break, the National Motorcycle Museum, Knutsford northbound Moto Services and Lancaster Moto Services.

The ride is expected to arrive in Barrow later in the afternoon. Previous Dave Day events have attracted thousands of bikers and large crowds along the route into the town.

More Supporting Events Planned

Other events are also planned in Barrow to support the day.

A charity football match is expected to take place at Holker Old Boys FC at noon. The Barrow Raiders fixture and celebration party will then continue the day’s programme into the evening.

These events are designed to give local people and visitors several ways to take part. Some will join the ride, others will line the streets, attend the football match, watch the rugby or enjoy the live music.

A Community Tribute to Dave Myers

Dave Day is more than a motorcycle ride. It has become a celebration of friendship, kindness and community spirit.

Dave Myers was proud of his Barrow roots, and the event has helped bring national attention to the town. It also gives people a chance to remember loved ones, support good causes and enjoy a day built around music, sport and togetherness.

With live bands, a rugby fixture, a charity football match and the final ride home, June 20 is set to be another emotional and busy day for Barrow. The event is expected to bring residents, visitors and bikers together for one last major Dave Day tribute.
